3.1. Interface Language

MediaMeter supports three interface languages:

3.2. Connecting Telegram

To receive notifications about new mentions in Telegram:

Enable the "Receive notifications" toggle and save your settings
⚠️ Important

Chat ID is not your Telegram username. It's a unique numeric value that can only be obtained from the bot.

4. Working with Persons

A Person is a monitoring subject. It can be a politician, company, brand, event, or any other entity whose mentions you want to track.

4.1. Creating a Person

1
In the dashboard, click "+ New Person"
2
Fill in the required fields:
  • Name — the main display name (e.g., "Volodymyr Zelensky")
  • Slug — a unique identifier in Latin letters (e.g., "zelensky")
3
Click "Save"

4.2. Setting Up Aliases (Keywords)

Aliases are variations of the person's name that the system searches for. The more aliases — the more comprehensive the monitoring.

Example aliases for Volodymyr Zelensky:

💡 Tip

Add all possible spelling variations, including misspellings. The system is case-insensitive — "zelensky" and "Zelensky" will both be found.

4.3. Activating/Deactivating a Person

You can temporarily disable monitoring for a person without deleting them. Uncheck "Active" in the person's settings. Monitoring will stop, but all collected data will be preserved.

5. Monitoring Sources

MediaMeter supports three types of sources:

5.1. RSS Sources

RSS is a standard news feed format supported by most media outlets.

1
Click "+ Add RSS"
2
Paste the RSS feed URL (e.g., https://www.pravda.com.ua/rss/)

Click "+ Add Smart Source"
2
Enter the website URL (e.g., https://antikor.info/)
3
The system will automatically determine the data collection method

The Smart parser runs every 30 minutes.
