Complete guide to setting up and using the media monitoring platform
1. What is MediaMeter?
MediaMeter is a professional platform for monitoring media mentions. The system automatically collects and analyzes publications from:
RSS feeds — hundreds of Ukrainian and international media outlets
Telegram channels — public news channels
Websites — automatic parsing of news portals
The platform is designed for political consultants, PR agencies, and communications professionals who need to track the media landscape.

2. Registration & Login
2.1. Creating an Account

Go to mediameter.top and click the "Register" button in the top right corner.

Fill in the form: enter your name, email, and create a secure password (minimum 6 characters).

Click "Register". You will be automatically redirected to the dashboard.
2.2. Logging In
If you already have an account:

Click "Login" on the main page.

Enter the email and password you used during registration.

Click "Login" to access the dashboard.
💡 Tip
The system remembers your session. You don't need to log in every time — just open the site and start working.
3. Profile Settings
To access profile settings, click on your name in the top right corner of the dashboard.
3.1. Interface Language
MediaMeter supports three interface languages:
🇺🇦 Ukrainian
🇷🇺 Russian
🇬🇧 English
To change the language, click the corresponding button (UA, RU, or EN) in the top right corner. The selected language will also be used for Telegram notifications.
3.2. Connecting Telegram
To receive notifications about new mentions in Telegram:
Add all possible spelling variations, including misspellings. The system is case-insensitive — "zelensky" and "Zelensky" will both be found.
4.3. Activating/Deactivating a Person
You can temporarily disable monitoring for a person without deleting them. Uncheck "Active" in the person's settings. Monitoring will stop, but all collected data will be preserved.
5. Monitoring Sources
MediaMeter supports three types of sources:
5.1. RSS Sources
RSS is a standard news feed format supported by most media outlets.

Click "+ Add RSS"

Paste the RSS feed URL (e.g., https://www.pravda.com.ua/rss/)

Specify the source name and content language

Click "Save"
The system checks RSS sources every 15 minutes.
5.2. Telegram Channels
You can monitor public Telegram channels:

Click "+ Add Channel"

Enter the channel username (e.g., @truexanewsua)

Click "Save"
The system checks Telegram channels every 10 minutes.
⚠️ Limitation
Monitoring only works for public channels. Private channels and groups are not supported.
5.3. Smart Sources
Smart sources provide automatic website parsing. The system automatically finds RSS or parses HTML pages.

Enter the website URL (e.g., https://antikor.info/)

The system will automatically determine the data collection method
The Smart parser runs every 30 minutes.
6. Analytics & Charts
6.1. Main Dynamics Chart
The dashboard displays a chart showing mention dynamics for the selected period. The chart shows:
Blue line — total number of mentions
Green line — positive mentions
Gray line — neutral mentions
Red line — negative mentions
6.2. Filters
Use filters to refine your selection:
Person — select a person to analyze
Period — specify "from" and "to" dates
Language — filter by publication language (Ukrainian, Russian, English, or all)
6.3. Person Comparison
You can compare up to 5 persons on one chart:

The chart will show each person's dynamics in a different color
6.4. Keyword Cloud
Below the chart, a cloud of the most frequent words in publications is displayed. This helps understand the main topics and context of mentions.
💡 Stop Words
You can add stop words that will be excluded from the cloud. For example, if the word "news" appears too often, add it to the stop words list.
7. PDF Reports
MediaMeter generates professional PDF reports with analytics for your clients.
7.1. Manual Report Creation

7.2. Scheduled Automatic Reports
You can set up automatic report delivery to email:

Click "📅 Schedule" in the top menu

Select a person and frequency (daily/weekly/monthly)

Enter the email address for receiving reports
